Your Profile Details

Users' profile pages are available to be viewed by any other user of Merlin Tutors. As such, your name, callsign, posts and photos are all displayed publicly. You have complete control over all of these things and it is your responsibility to ensure that no information is displayed that you do not want in the public domain. By using Merlin Tutors you therefore agree to the public display of these details.

Optional Features

Some features of Merlin Tutors can be switched by the user between private and public display. It is your responsibility to ensure that no information is displayed that you do not want in the public domain.

Usage-Generated Data

Users continually input data into Merlin Tutors during the day-to-day user of Merlin Tutors. This type of data includes location information, search locations, searches made, users searched for, users you have fancied, users you are following, and your mobile phone device data. Of course, we have access to all of this private information. However, Merlin Tutors will never display any of this data publicly. Merlin Tutors will never sell any of this information to third-parties. Everything you do on Merlin Tutors will always remain private.

Data Use Policy

Merlin Tutors does not release any private user-generated data. We process this data internally and use the results for various features and services of Merlin Tutors. For example, we know each user's list of people they are currently fancying. While we will never reveal this information publicly, it is necessary for us to know it in order for us to match them with other users who are fancying them back. We use your location data in the same way. While we will never reveal your location (unless of course you have chosen the option), we will use this information to customize the adverts. For example, if you are in the vicinity of a coffee bar, Merlin Tutors will be aware of this from data sent by your mobile phone, and you may receive an advert on Merlin Tutors advertising that particular coffee bar.
